HACKATHON WEBDOC
Intensive collaborative interactive documentary production labs
The HACKATHON WEBDOC project was launched by CRUA to bring together designers, filmmakers, programmers, researchers, journalists, architects, and community representatives to produce interactive documentaries. While mapping the city and offering training in the field of interactive documentary, we also create opportunities for communities and filmmakers to discuss social and human rights issues. These events also serve as communication platforms, enabling cultural organizations that host the HACKATHON WEBDOC to connect with the neighborhoods and communities where they are located through public screenings and debates.

With over 150 creators involved, we published 9 interactive documentaries between 2017–2022, produced in São Paulo and Lisbon.

Preserving memories and enabling knowledge to be (re)created now and in the future, in virtual space and everywhere. CRUA’s workshops focus on the integration between the public, institutions, and communities, creating engaging and interactive digital content to connect with diverse audiences.
The talks and workshops are tailored to each context and encourage the integrated production of content such as documentaries, animation, 360° videos, virtual reality, interactive texts, and social media. In the age of interfaces, we seek to highlight the power of tradition within the field of intangible heritage, positioning it in the contemporary world and projecting it into the future.
