This traveling audiovisual experience brought short films about bell ringers and bell towers to the façades of churches and public squares in ten towns across Minas Gerais. In places where the bells are heard but the bell ringers remain hidden, the films made their work visible—projecting their faces, voices, and traditional knowledge onto the heart of each town.
By using church façades as projection screens, the project transformed sacred architecture into a platform for storytelling through light and color. Each session was tailored to the local community, with nine different versions created to reflect the diversity of the region.
The initiative is part of the larger Som dos Sinos expanded cinema project and served as a cultural preservation strategy that repositions the bell ringer as a vital figure within the community.
