Interactive multimedia platform
CIRCUITO MEMÓRIA PAULISTANA is an interactive multimedia platform that brings together documentary storytelling and digital mapping into a virtual experience combining films, podcasts, archival images, 360º photographs, and maps. Developed as part of the Jornada do Patrimônio 2021—an annual event dedicated to safeguarding São Paulo’s urban heritage—the platform intertwines public and community-led efforts to preserve the city's collective memory.
The platform showcases unique and powerful stories about São Paulo, drawn from over 400 memory plaques mapped by the Placas da Memória Paulistana project. Ten thematic routes were created, highlighting narratives of struggle, affection, and remembrance across the city.
Through these curated circuits, the public is invited to discover the sociability surrounding local cinemas, the legacy of labor movements, the evolution of public health services, Black resistance, LGBTQIA+ struggles, theater history, samba culture, modernist architecture, grassroots football (futebol de várzea), and the histories of Indigenous peoples in São Paulo.
The podcast series Circuito Memória Paulistana is available on major platforms such as Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
